In-Person Tutoring

AkariTutoring® is proud to offer highly skilled and motivated tutors to help our students succeed and excel in their academics! Our tutors come from various professional backgrounds including engineering, educators, writers, scientists, and recent college graduates who have a passion for teaching. Our tutors work one on one with students and develop a learning plan catered to each students' individual needs. During the tutoring session, our tutors focus on conceptual as well as practical aspects and reinforce the information with practice problems.

Students can follow these simple steps to get on their path to academic success:

1. Sign up and create a profile at www.akaritutoring.com
2. We will immediately contact the client to ask for the day, time and location
3. AkariTutoring.com® will select a tutor and confirm the day, time, and location with the client
4. Client selects a payment plan.
5. AkariTutoring.com® tutor meets with the client at the designated day, time, and location
6. At the end of each session, our tutors will fill out document that summarizes the session so parents can keep track of the student's progress! This feature will be available upon request.

At this point, students can get all the personalized attention and academic help they need. Using this approach, it is easy for students to ask all the questions they want without having the fear of asking questions in a classroom scenario.

Online Tutoring

Our tutors are college graduates and working professionals who have a passion for teaching. Our tutors work one on one with students and develop a learning plan catered to each student's individual needs. During the tutoring session, our tutors focus on conceptual as well as practical aspects and reinforce the information with practice problems. This method has been proven and time tested!

AkariTutoring Online Process

1. Student signs up and creates a profile at www.akaritutoring.com
2. Student can view the AkariTutoring® tutor directory and select a tutor based on scheduling preferences
3. AkariTutoring® will send out a confirmation email and a reminder email before the session
4. Student and tutor meet via the AkariTutoring® virtual whiteboard and begin collaborating!

At this point, students can get all the academic help they need. Using our virtual whiteboard, they can draw diagrams, write out equations, and do text or voice chat! Using this approach, it is easy for students to ask all the questions they want without having the fear of asking questions in a classroom scenario.

System Requirements

Online Tutoring will require certain system specifications in order to work properly. Please make sure your computer has the minimum requirements below:

Minimum Requirements
Windows	X86 or x64 (Browsers must be in 32-bit mode) 1.6-gigahertz (GHz) or higher processor with 512-MB of RAM
Macintosh (Intel-based)	Intel Core Duo 1.83-gigahertz (GHz) or higher processor with 512-MB of RAM

Our online service works with the following browsers. Make sure your browsers are up to date with the versions below:

Silverlight

Our online tutoring service requires that Microsoft's Silverlight Plug-in be installed on your computer. When you open up the online session, you will be prompted to install Silverlight if you computer doesn't already have it. Follow the instructions to download and install it so that your computer will be good to go.
