Who are AkariTutoring.com® tutors?
Our tutors are highly trained professionals with expertise in many fields. Many are driven to become teachers, doctors, engineers, mathematicians, and writers.

We select our tutors based on academic excellence from top rated schools, high scores on our qualification exams, prior experience with tutoring, and a passion for sharing their knowledge.

What will my tutor do?
Our tutors provide one-on-one instruction and help students develop individualized learning plans. They use quizzes and tests to measure students’ progress.

During tutoring sessions, tutors work with students to clarify concepts, consolidate lessons taught at school, tackle homework assignments, and prepare for quizzes and tests. If time permits, tutors will assign additional work to enhance students' understanding.

As a result of our tutoring, students have passed standardized exams and achieved desired college admissions. We have a good track record and receive a lot of positive feedback from our clients.

Do you provide materials for the tutoring sessions?
Yes, we do! Curriculum workbooks, SAT workbooks, subject workbooks will be provided free of charge! These exceptional workbooks designed to reinforce a student's understanding by principles of incremental development, continual practice and review, and cumulative assessment.

Am I required to sign a contract?
You don't have to sign any contract. Rather than forcing our clients to sign one, we believe that our stellar results will make you happy and stick with us.

How does scheduling work?
Upon signing up, we will work with you to arrange a weekly schedule. It's very flexible and convenient!

How does billing work?
At AkariTutoring.com®, we provide an easy pay-as-you-go billing system. We accept credit cards (via Paypal), or regular checks.

Where does tutoring take place?
Our tutors can meet with you either at your home or at a neutral location of your choice such as a library or coffee shop!

Which areas do you currently provide the In-Person service?
For In-Person, we cover California, Texas, Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

What are tutoring hours?
Tutoring hours vary depending on our tutors' schedules and yours as well. Typically, the hours are after school between 4-9pm.

Is there a refund for missed sessions?
Yes, if the missed session is planned. In all cases, we have worked well with our clients to reschedule or to refund the full amount.

Is there a discount for group tutoring sessions?

Are you hiring?
Yes, we will always hire qualified tutors. Note: you must be living in the state of Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Pennsylvania, and be able to pass a series of exams and a background check.

Our tutors work one on one with students to develop individualized learning plans with quizzes and tests to measure progress. During tutoring sessions, our tutors work to better visualize concepts, and consolidate the lessons taught in class, work on assignments, prepare for quizzes and tests and if time permits, our tutors will assign additional and challenging problems to enhance the students' understanding. We have a good track of records (nearly 100% positive feedback rate). All of our students have either passed states' standardized exams or achieved desired college admissions.

How does scheduling work?
Scheduling is done through the AkariTutoring.com® interactive calendar. You may view the availability of our tutors via the calendar and select the times and days that work for you. You may also request a certain time or day from our tutors.

How does billing work?
At AkariTutoring.com®, we provide an easy pay-as-you-go billing system. We accept credit cards (via Paypal), or regular checks.

Can I select my tutor?
Yes! We provide a directory of highly qualified, educated tutors from which you can select your own or we can choose one for you.

Where does tutoring take place?
If you select our online service, the tutoring session can take place anywhere! All you need is a PC, or a Mac computer.

Which areas do you currently provide the In-Person service?
For Online tutoring, we provide service to all regions in the US.

Is there a refund for missed sessions?
For online session, there's no penalty for missed sessions. But we wholeheartedly appreciate if you could login and cancel the appointment in advance.

What are the system requirements for AkariTutoring.com® online tutoring?
You will simply need a computer with internet connection to get started. You will need to have Skype™ installed on your machine.
